Orange County Swim Meet Information
Entries:
To facilitate fast and easy entry procedures, signups are pool-side before the meet.
Starting Time:
Pool opens for warm-up at 1:30 PM. Meet Starts at 2:00 PM and should finish by 5:00 PM.
Directions:
5 Freeway to Red Hill exit in Tustin. South on Red Hill to Nisson Road (1st light). Left on Nisson. Blue Buoy Swim School is approx. 1/4 mile from the Nisson / Red Hill intersection on the right.
Awards:
Place Ribbons for first three places in each event are awarded on basis of Judge’s decision. Heat Winner Ribbons are awarded to the 1st Place winner in each heat –except final heat. Improvement Ribbons are awarded to any swimmer showing improvement over his/her own best recorded Blue Buoy swim meet time. First Time Ribbons are awarded to athletes participating in an event for the first time. Trophies are awarded to swimmers for their 25th, 50th, 100th, 150th, 200th, and 300th ribbons.
Exception: Improvement Ribbons only are given in events A, B, and C.
Entry Fee:
$6.00 per event
Course:
The pool is an outdoor, 20-yard pool with 6 lanes.
Rules:
Reasonable Rules will govern. The Judge’s decision is final.
Eligibility:
Open to all amateur athletes ages 15 and under. The meet is not recommended for athletes who swim in closed competition.
Meet Officials:
Includes paid professionals employed by the Meet Manager (Johnny Johnson).
